You can call anyone in the USA for free! Not just computer to computer, but "real" telephones! Call your Mom on her kitchen phone a thousand miles away! Not 10, 7 or 5 cents a minute..... but FREE using DIALPAD and your computer. Headset or mic. required.

TIP- use headphones from your headset or regular headphones in the speaker input of the computer to eliminate delay.

X:Drive will give you up to 100 Megabytes just for sending others you know an email through X:drive telling them about their service. I have this entire web site backed up onto X:drive incase my hard drive fails or my CD backup doesn't work!

Wether you want to make a 10 minute call or use all the time in one shot it is up to you. What their catch is (not a catch but more of a fair trade off) they make you listen to a 10 to 15 seconde comercial to earn 2 minutes calling time. So, if you listen to 1 minutes worth of commercials you get to talk to a friend or relative a zillion miles away for about 12 minutes! and you hear a beep when you have 30 seconds left to wrap up your call. If you got teens in college this could be a God send!

This is a great free service. I can't fully describe all it has to offer. I will tell you this: You can make free 2 minute long distance calls to anywhere in the country from any phone other than a pay phone. FREE! Make several a day or whatever. I use it to call my sister just when I have to ask her something fast. It gets better! Also, you can just speak in the phone menu words to get stocks, sports, news, movie times and even other peoples extensions for thousands of different information. Visit their site. It is amazing.

So, why did I add Yahoo mail in this? There are tons of free Webmail right? Well Yahoo had added a service that to me is so valuable it throws them so far ahead of all the rest. Now when you join Yahoo for all their services you can sighn up in a flash to get your own Toll free number. With this number (and an extension and pin number) You can have your friends or anyone call you like an answering machine and listen to their voice messages to you. Or if they email you then you can have Yahoo read it to you over anyphone (even a phone booth for free!) You then can reply to the email via your voice! There were at one time many companies that provided free 1 800 numbers, but one by one they vanished. Yahoo is the only one left I have found that is free and can access your emails via phone along with voice mail.
